Safety Summary

Why

Large frog species like Pacman frogs (horned frogs), African bullfrogs, and Pixie frogs can and do eat small mice (pinkies or fuzzies) in captivity. This is normal and nutritious for these species. However, mice should not be the primary diet — insects should still make up the majority of the diet as mice are very high in fat. Not appropriate for small or medium frog species.

Portion Guidance

A pinky or fuzzy mouse once every 2–4 weeks for large adult frogs, alongside regular insect feeding. Never as the sole food source.
